A lot of people have come up with a team to form record labels. Most of them lack the financial capacity and therefore finds it difficult to finance artiste when they sign them.
In an interview with Jessy Gh on “Letz vibe” with Tinalove, he expressed the reason why he probably hasn’t been signed yet to any record label. Jessy is an independent artiste working hard to breakthrough. According to “My Lady” hitmaker, most record labels don’t have the music business but rather come in for their selfish gains and afterward leave you stranded if you are not smart enough.

The scheduled interview was to have started at 11 am, according to the producers of the show.
However, Kidi reported to the studio at exactly 11:25 am, a situation that got Nana Romeo infuriated.
The host then said to Kidi: “I feel embarrassed because this is the second time you are doing this.”
We always announce the time to the public but you don’t show up at the agreed time. That is not the case with other stations when you visit thee.”
“I was planning for a beautiful interview but this can’t happen.”
Kidi apologised for his action, saying: “I apologise for this, I don’t mean to disrespect anybody. I don’t like the way I have been spoken to this morning but I apologise.”
Ghanaian music star, activist and GRAMMY Nominee Rocky Dawuni has just released a colorful new video for “Champion Arise“ off his “Beats of Zion” album (Six Degrees.) Dawuni’s voice is at its emotive best on this combination of catchy choruses and melodic guitar riffs all riding on a hard-hitting modern reggae rhythm produced by Dawuni himself. Rocky artfully combines words and lyrics with a call to action for a spiritual revolution to activate the “Champion” mindset. The video premiered today on popular UK based music site, Music-News.com
Filmed on location in Aburi, Ghana and Malibu, CA, Dawuni states “the idea was to capture visuals that were real, intimate, uplifting, joyful yet mystical at the same time and present them as metaphors to communicate a concept of renewal, rebirth and victory after destruction and defeat. In Ghana, we settled on a location in the compound housing the ruins of the iconic Tuff Gong Africa studio, built by Rita Marley in honor of Bob Marley that got tragically destroyed in a fire in 2010 after its completion. I had recently taken possession of this place with a new vision to bring it back to life. The story of this studio and my current efforts to revitalize and rebuild it back from the ashes into a new center of music and youth culture captures the unspoken moral of video.”
Additional filming occurred on the premises of the renown Woodshed Studios in Malibu, CA, another iconic studio which had parts of the property destroyed in the Malibu fire of 2018. Filming in these creative spaces that have experienced extreme situations but resiliently rising, symbolically represent the spirit of the mythical phoenix rising through fire to ultimately prevail….”champion arise we shall win…”
“Champion Arise carries a timely message of hope, revival and empowerment at a moment when the whole world is undergoing a crisis of disruption and uncertainty in joyfully celebrating the resilient power of the human spirit to overcome the most adverse challenge” Dawuni adds. The video was directed by Jon Riera and Casey Bridges with additional editing by Deborah Koffler.
Stand up and feel the wave as Champion Arise unleashes doses of inspiration to calm your fears and uplift the global vibration!

Dancehall sensation of PPP records and Rude Gyal Chune singer , Euni Melo in an interview with GH Events claims to have been the Genesis of the trending ongoing female beef.
She disclosed that , she began the whole female beef which is now getting both mainstream and upcoming female acts on their toes but was not given that due attention because she is an upcoming.
However , the award winning dancehall “Layaness” said her beef initiation was targeted at promoting the works and the brands of the female artistes who appeared to have been pushed aside by the dominating male acts.
A link to her interview with Gh Events.
“I started the beef thing but never threw a physical punch” – she posted on Facebook as well.
Brief throwback on how the PPP records signed songstress started the beef.
In late 2019 , the “Naakp3” singer picked on a fellow dancehall songstress Aroma Rule of Chemp3 fame with a recorded diss song tagged “Lyrical Bar 16” .
A diss aimed at trending the new released project from the latter [Aroma Rule].
Which ended up with no reply from the attacked act.
Fast forward 2020 , all other female act join the trend including Eno Barony , Freda Rhymes,Sista Afia, etc.
Euni Melo yesterday cleared the air on the vybe on vybe show hosted by DJ lastic on Ghana youth television on a misleading subject that tagged her bar 16 line to the famous Dancehall King.
A line which read “Your mouth wide like wele one Yard,” was a line in her maiden diss track to Aroma Rule who had then gone for an interview to claim being a Dancehall queen and her style being copied by the other female acts.
Euni who admitted being the initiator of the female beefing, made it clear that it is wrong for anyone to take the issue to that extent, because, she respects her seniors and don’t want to have issues with anyone up there.
But also admitted if AK Songstress would accept her challenge, she would lyrically battle her.
